Winter Haven Budokai
Winter Haven Budokai
Wednesday, July 29, 2009
While on a break from the office, I spent some time in Central Florida and, of course, arranged the opportunity to stop by Sensei Juan Queris’ dojo in Winter Haven. As some of you may know, the dojo is now located at a new address: 31 5th Street NW, Winter Haven, FL 33881
In instrumental partnership with Sempai Richard Pantaleon, the new dojo has established a solid footing to grow in these difficult economic times, with a sound business strategy and foresight to capitalize in the strong karate-do community in Central Florida and the profile of the community it serves.
This address is right smack in the middle of downtown Winter Haven, across the city park, and serves the community by providing traditional Okinawan karate-do and kobudo, self-defense, and other services. It remains focused as a highly regarded dojo for hard training, thoughtful study of the philosophy and intricacies of martial arts and a home to any serious martial artist looking to meet the personal challenges brought on by training in a nourishing environment with a practicing master of several martial arts disciplines.
Included, below, in this posting is a virtual tour of the dojo, which provides a preview of the facilities and can give you a welcome to the new headquarters of the S.K.K.A. Florida, now operating under the Winter Haven Budokai name.
Yours in Budo,
Sensei Francisco Santander
Like the phoenix, the Winter Haven dojo rises anew under its new name of Winter Haven Budokai. Located in a prime location in downtown Winter Haven, the new dojo will be based around traditional Okinawan karate-do and kobudo and offer additional services to the community.
